These caterers are fraud. They give complex names to their food items and describe them in a nice manner, but the actual food is tasteless and simple. for eg- governor's punch is simple orange juice, quef farcis is boiled egg, chicken marengo was the worst ever chicken curry, fish colbert with lemon butter was stale and tasteless and guests threw it, they served starters very slowly, flavoured rice was also nothing new.
Their dessert section was good like malpoa with nalen gur and vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce.
But I would suggest them to change the names of their foodstuffs to simple ones and not to manipulate people. Please go for a local caterer instead of continental caterers. Your party will be better if you choose a local

Recently we engaged Continental Catering Services for my sister in laws wedding party held at Barabati Stadium Cuttack. Our guest count was around 2200 . Thanks to Continental Catering Services for such excellent food, innovative Menu & impeccable services. The way the managed such a gathering that to at a city almost 450 KM away from Kolkata. The ambience & overall food & services they rendered to us is never experienced in Cuttack. My special thanks to both the owner Rongon Neogi & Suman Neogi & the entire professional team of Continental Catering Services
Worst service ever experienced. The staffs including the owner of this catering service were rude and arrogant to the guests.
We recently found out that these caterers have used tap water to fill-up the drinking jars and served the same to all as mineral water during the said wedding. This has been confirmed to us by the management of the venue where the marriage took place. Worst caterer ever.
What I don't understand is why Mr. Rongon is spreading false accusations against my family which has nothing to do with my original review. Online forums like this are for customers to publish their reviews and opinions on their experiences. What kind of precedent would it set if big businesses like these end up bullying unhappy customers on such forums. The right thing for an ethical business to do would be to acknowledge any shortcomings, try to improve upon them and asked satisfied customers to publish their own experiences as counterpoints. Same as the way forums like trip advisor etc. work. I sincerely hope that readers here are able to see past these false accusations and bullying tactics.
@ Sagnik, you served Alcohol without taking temporary license , with is a punishable offence, I have photographs of your serving Alcohol both in Eldorado Guest House Gariahat & in Choudhury House Moore Avenue. After doing such punishable offence & misbehaving with catering Staff, you wrote reviews about us. Please delete your review or else we will approach the Excise department of West Bengal Government & make complaint against the host Mr S Bhattacharya of 2 Moore Avenue Kolkata & also file a defamation suite against you & your father.
Instead of countering with the specifics, you can see how the proprietor has just resorted to false allegations. Please avoid them at all costs.

Sorry to mention that most of your Baryati's who came from Bhagalpur were drunk from the morning & they mis behaved with the catering staff right from the time they arrived. We never faced so many people in drunken state from the morning, they were in festive mood, enjoying but using filthy language cant be expected from a respectable guests. We used Continental Catering for my sister's wedding in Kolkata in April 2014. Their overall contract included breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was ok; some dishes were actually tasty. However appetizers and drinks were sub par. The main reason for this poor review is their extremely poor and unprofessional service. When you are in the middle of conducting a once in a lifetime event like a family wedding, the last thing you need is a caterer who needs to constantly be reminded of what to do and the staff and manager behave rudely with hosts and guests. They have grown so big that they are conducting many events (sometimes 4-5) on the same day and you will not get the attention that you deserve.Â

Very recently we wrongly chose Continental Catering Services as our caterer for my cousin's wedding. They lacked professionalism, etiquette & business ethics. During the event, the owner Mr. Neogi misbehaved with our family members and with the very person who gave his reference to the bride's father. In between the event, we faced Food shortage, inexperienced people serving & at the end of the event the reported final plate count figure was shocking. Learned that Mr. Neogi gets a lot of business from CTS Kolkata. Having had the first hand experience, would advise caution to all who are considering this Continental caterer for any event - Don't fall prey to their lower quote. 6 Ballygunge Place is anytime way better an option for the same.
